Lash to Spearhead Strategy to Build Market Leader in Hybrid IT Solutions for the National Security Community
ANNAPOLIS JUNCTION, Md., March 27, 2023 — Tom Lash, former National Security leader at AWS, Leidos and SAIC, has been appointed by Meadowgate Technologies LLC as CEO to spearhead a new strategy to build a market leader in hybrid technology solutions and services for the national security community. Meadowgate is an award-winning business delivering trusted computing products and services to the federal government and will be the platform for this groundbreaking growth initiative.
Established in 2006 by co-founders Brian and Leslie Cooleen, Meadowgate Technologies has an extensive successful track record of enabling complex federal missions by providing high-performance computing solutions. Their strategy, developed together with Lash, centers on building a company aligned with the national security community’s growing demand for scalable systems architectures and capabilities that enable seamless movement of data and workloads within hybrid environments. This multiphase strategy involves expanding the company’s capabilities in product integration, solution development and hybrid workload development, migration, and management, both organically and through focused acquisition. Meadowgate’s Integration Lab will play a key role as an innovation and solutions development hub for customers in government and industry.

Lash joins Meadowgate with expertise gained from 30 years serving the federal technology mission. He was most recently AWS general manager for national security and federal delivery. Prior to his six-year tenure with AWS, he was group technology officer at Leidos. Earlier he spent over 20 years with SAIC in a range of senior leadership positions covering M&A and mission operations, and he also served as chief technology officer.
Lash is an adjunct member of Georgetown University’s Cloud Computing faculty. He served on the board of directors for the Aberdeen Chapter of NDIA and was a volunteer mentor with Year Up, an equal opportunity workforce development nonprofit. Lash earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from University of Virginia, a master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from George Mason University, and an MBA in finance from The John Hopkins University.
The co-founders of Meadowgate will continue with the company as part of the executive leadership team focusing on new business development initiatives and oversight and development of the company’s support functions.
